ECONOMIC OFFENCES

Economic criminal offences are understood to be all the offences described in the Dutch Economic Offences Act (Wet op de Economische Delicten).

Examples include violations of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het Financieel Toezicht), the Dutch Foreign Financial Relations Act (Wet Financiële Betrekkingen Buitenland), the Dutch Disclosure of Unusual Transactions (Financial Services) Act (Wet Melding Ongebruikelijke Transacties), the Dutch Abuse of Chemical Substances (Prevention) Act (Wet Voorkoming Misbruik Chemicaliën), the Dutch Housing Act (Woningwet), the Dutch Foreign Nationals (Employment) Act (Wet Arbeid Vreemdelingen), the Dutch Private Security Organizations and Detective Agencies Act (Wet Particuliere Beveiligings-organisaties en Recherchebureaus), the Dutch Passenger Transport Act 2000 (Wet Personenvervoer 2000) (important to taxi drivers), the Dutch Trading Hours Act (Winkeltijdenwet), the Dutch Commodities Act (Warenwet), the Dutch Soil Pollution Act (Wet Bodemverontreiniging) and the Dutch Environmental Management Act (Wet Milieubeheer).
