Before she became a lawyer, Anneliek Hendriks worked for the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Latterly holding the position of associate trial lawyer, she worked on complex cases against alleged war criminals who were prosecuted for crimes against humanity – including sexual crimes – and war crimes.
In addition, she worked as a trainer for The-Act-Trainingen from 1997 to 2003. This is a training centre for lawyers that specialises in communicative skills. The majority of the courses are offered to lawyers within the framework of the Permanent and Advanced Trainee Programme (Permanente- en Voortgezette Stagiaire Opleiding). In 2000, she became a partner at The-Act-Trainingen.
She has since made the changeover to the legal profession and is active in both civil and criminal law. She handles, among others, WSNP cases and Juvenile cases.
She is fluent in written and spoken (legal) English and is used to working in French and German as well.
